The information found on this web page describes how Big PC Geek Services, LLC. gathers your information and uses it from our web site, over the phone, and for In-Home Services. When you provide us with your personal information over the phone, e-mail, web site, or in your home, you consent to the information practices described in this policy. What information does Big PC Geek collect from me?

How will my information be used?
Big PC Geek uses your information to provide business service, billing purposes, offer new products, research and analysis, marketing promotions, and for improvements to our site and way we operate. We do not give your information to any third parties for any marketing purposes. We may use your information with other vendors for business services. If at some time we decide to give your information to third parties for any other reason other than performing services we provide, we will notify you.

When you browse our web site, talk to use over the phone, and receive In-Home Service, you may be asked to provide your personal information.  We only collect information that we deem necessary for conducting business and we will never ask you for your social security number.

Does Big PC Geek share my information with others?
Big PC Geek does not sell or rent your personal information for marketing purposes; however, we may share your information with other third-parties for business purposes. For example, if we were to use another Big PC Geek approved company to repair your hard drive, we would give them your name for tracking purposes. If at some time we decide to give your information to third parties for any other reason other than performing services we provide, we will notify you first and give you the option to opt out.

Does Big PC Geek sell my information?
No, we do not sell your information for any purposes, nor do we plan to. If at some point we decide to sell your information for any reason, we will notify you first and you will have the right and option to opt out.

Can I opt out of any marketing and how do I?
Currently, we do not sell your information to any company for marketing purposes. If we ever do decide to sell your information for this purpose, you will have the option to opt out before it happens. We do use your information from time to time to send you in-house promotions and services. As always, you can opt out of any marketing communication from us at anytime. After opting out of any marketing communication, you still may be contacted for billing purposes. For example, you ask to opt out from any e-mail marketing communication. Although we will not send you an e-mail for a marketing promotion, we will send you an e-mail for a bill you may owe.

To opt out of marketing, reply to any e-mail sent to you by us and ask to be removed from our marketing/mailing list.

How does Big PC Geek secure my personal Information?
When you use BigPcGeek.com or receive services from Big PC Geek Services, we take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information.  Personal information stored on desktop computers are stored in a secure location, personal information stored on laptops are encrypted, and employees are screened prior to hire. At time to time, we may send personal information via e-mail, U.S. Postal mail or other shipping services, and over the phone; and although we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, we cannot guarantee the safeguard of your data for reasons we can’t control. For example, if we send you an e-mail containing your personal information to you and someone then steals your computer at your location, we cannot control the fact that your information was stolen. If for any reason our systems are ever compromised and may suspect your personal information has been stolen, we will notify you immediately.  We cannot warrant information you send to us via e-mail and you do so at your own risk. If we ever host a blog or link you to one, we strongly suggest you don’t enter any personal information into the blog for others to see. When working on your computer, we will always take reasonable care of your data but cannot guarantee we will always be able to preserve your information. If we use remote access to diagnose your computer or fix the problem, we will take reasonable precautions to safeguard your data.

How can I update my information?
You may update your personal information at anytime by calling 888-499-5734 or send an email to customerservice@bigpcgeek.com.  When sending an e-mail, please also tell us your old information.

What do I do if you change your Privacy Policy?
If we change our privacy policy, you will not have to do anything. We suggest you look at our privacy policy every time you access our site but we will notify you if any changes made in our privacy policy affect you. From time to time, our privacy policy will change.
